Sadly I've lived in this area my entire life and never ever my knowledge have I tried Vince's. After seeing a recommendation about it on Facebook from the pizza crowd, I decided I'm going to give it a try. Great choice and great pizza. I had a round plain. I had to try a slice in my car before I pulled away as is tradition, And with the first bite I was like oh yeah this is the stuff. The crust is on the thinner side, weight I would say is on the slightly heavier side, and it's got the perfect amount of grease on top because you know that means they're using the good cheese blend. Remember this is take out only so it's just a small little waiting area, very quaint. It's crazy to think just on that small stretch of road how many great pizza shops there are. Vince's, Napoli's, DeMuro's, and Tony's. Then at the top of William Street right around the corner is Bari which is also very good, they throw a bit of oregano and possibly some other spices in with the cheese and sauce mix so that is baked in which might not be for everybody but I loved it. All of these joints in this condensed area...well you can't go wrong. Flip a coin. They all rank about even in my book for their plain round pies, each one just has its own little differences. We are truly spoiled! And you notice how these places never go out of business for how many there are? The Wyoming valley must eat more pizza per capita then 95% of the rest of the country and with pizza joints like this everywhere you turn It's no wonder.
I order regularly and my wife and I are a huge fan of their square with pepperoni and hot wing pizza. We also love their pasta dinners specifically the chicken parm. Fantastic people and great service and exceptional food. I mostly speak with Cathy who takes my order and she is always awesome to talk with. I've never dined in so I cant score dining in for Vince's. I feel the mix of fantastic people, great service and exceptional food says it all.
I stopped by for a quick visit between other errands and I'm glad I did! The food was freshly prepared and flavorful. I got the Corona Battered Fish Fillet (which has no cheese btw) and highly recommend it; the fish was tender and you can absolutely taste the beer in the breading which was nice. The breaded zucchini was also surprisingly good-- they were lightly crispy and soft inside, with nothing fried hard or overdone. Lastly I tried the rice pudding, which is apparently from another company but it is delicious, rich & creamy with cinnamon on top. They are currently take-out only so there's no seating inside but I'm always on the move so that works for me. I'm glad this little place is here in town! I will have to stop by again.
The food is fantastic! It's a great spot for lunch or even if you want to pick up something to eat for dinner. All of the prices are very reasonable and the portions are good as well. I've been here quite a bit and have always enjoyed my food as well as the service I get. Just wish they had somewhere to sit inside for when you're waiting for your takeout order
Validated time and time again....I have only had 4 things over 25 years going to Vinces. Before any comments, they relocated from Avoca, to Junction in Pittston, to current location. 1) Vinces Club (pic) - the fried egg pops this to NEXT LEVEL 2) Cheese Fries (pic)- my opinion, Best Around....cheese only..can't comment on any other way.... 3) Stromboli - you'll do a double take...its round....and its awesome 4) Pizza Hoagie (pic)- Cult Classic, Simply put!!
The pizza was ok, nothing fancy or outstanding about it. The actual store itself I wouldn't say was inviting or cozy. But as for the staff, very sweet and helpful. Sometimes in life we sacrifice one thing for another. Stop by and grab a pie for yourself, and maybe you'll disagree with me.
My family has been getting Vince’s for years, it is hands down one of my very favorite places! Food is ALWAYS delicious, the portions are very generous and prices are very fair! I Always recommend Vince’s when someone needs a good bite to eat!
Great pizza and service! Friendly place with a cozy atmosphere and very good food. The white pizza is the best in the area!
